Dr Bunhead visits the science club

Our special Sciennes friend, Dr Bunhead, visited the science club this week to bring our unit on burning to a close with a bang!  We have been finding out about what is needed for combustion and carrying out experiments and making and testing hypotheses.

This week Dr Bunhead showed us different things that can be fuels, how different things burn different colours and even showed us how water can insulate against fire so that he was able to set fire to a gas on Elias' head without setting his hair alight.  He even created an explosion in the science base which made lots of us scream because it was so loud (it wasn't just me who screamed, honest).

If you want to get in on the Bunhead fun check out the link below where you can find out details of his show at the George Square Theatre starting next Friday.  Remember there are also lots of other events at the Edinburgh Science Festival.
