Meeting Author Teresa Flavin
Teresa began as a children's book illustrator then branched out into writing art-based fantasy-mystery novels for age 9+. Her first illustrated novel, THE BLACKHOPE ENIGMA was shortlisted for a number of UK children's book awards and was a Junior Library Guild Selection in the USA. The sequel, THE CRIMSON SHARD was a Junior Library Guild Selection for 2012. THE SHADOW LANTERN, the final book in the Blackhope Enigma trilogy, was published in 2013.

Gillian from Looking Glass Bookshop in Quartermile http://lookingglassbooks.com/ brought along "The Blackhope Enigma", "The Crimson Shard" and "The Shadow Lantern." We were delighted that Gillian showed so much interest in the three books that our Primary Seven pupils have had published by Mary Turner Thomson over the last three years. It was lovely to make a connection between school and a local bookseller, almost on our doorstep.
